The Equality Bill was published on 27th April 2009 and is now making its way through Parliament. It's a once-in-a-generation opportunity to end the gender pay gap. The Fawcett Society is gearing up for Equal Pay Day on 30th October, when their supporters across the UK will be hitting the streets to highlight the shortfall in women's pay compared to men's and to ask Government to include stronger measures to tackle pay discrimination.
Look out for the Fawcett Society's Equal Pay Day blog, which they'll be launching soon to keep you updated on Equal Pay Day activities, including more ideas for actions and guest posts from the blogosphere.
