David Cameron has called on Gordon Brown to apologise and admit that capital expenditure will fall in the years leading up to the Olympics.
Speaking at Prime Minister’s Questions, David pointed to figures contained in the 2009 Budget, which contradict Mr. Brown’s claims that capital expenditure will continue to rise until 2012.
He said the Prime Minister has been “caught absolutely red-handed” and concluded:
“This Prime Minister cannot give a straight answer and he’s not big enough to say he got it wrong”.
