(Comm On Standards In Public Life) Committee on Standards in Public Life - Inquiry into MPs' expenses

The Committee on Standards in Public Life will launch its inquiry into MPs' expenses on Thursday 23rd April.

The Committee will be publishing an Issues and Questions paper which will outline the scope of the inquiry and call for written evidence from all interested parties and the general public.

The inquiry into MPs' expenses, which was due to begin later in the year, was brought forward by the Committee in response to building concern about this issue. As well as receiving written evidence, the Committee will be holding a series of public hearings in June and July at which relevant witnesses will give oral evidence on this issue. The Committee intends to produce its recommendations for reform by the end of the year.

You are invited to attend a press conference at 10.00am on Thursday 23rd April in the Harvey Goodwin Suite, Church House, Dean's Yard, Westminster SW1P 3NZ.
